Dunkin has been adopted!

There’s a common term in the shelter business called, “foster fail.” It happens when someone fosters a dog from a shelter and then decides to keep it and adopt it. Well Dunkin is a story of what I call, a “photography fail.”

Mrs TakingPaws works in the Florida Keys SPCA during the week. A new arrival came in and when she had a chance, she sat and played with him. When she got home that evening she told me that I needed to do photography on him that next weekend.

So I got to know the little guy, walked him, played with him, and did a normal photo shoot with him. He was so incredibly attached to me that I couldn’t put him back. So we started the process to adopt him ourselves. He’d be our 3rd dog member at home along with Labrador Dee Dee and Coonhound mix stray Dora.

We took a couple of days to introduce Dee Dee and Dora to Dunkin. When we saw that they would all be friends, we took Dunkin home. The video is all the real scenes – nothing was re-shot or staged. They are the real clips of Dunkin leaving the shelter and coming home for the first time.
